Forty Years, Many Cultures, One Community
The June, July and August 2026 edition of The Herald celebrates an important milestone for Herald Avenue Senior Citizensâ Club, its 40th anniversary.
The newsletter invites members to join the Ruby Anniversary celebration on 4 July 2026. The event brings together Irish tap dancing, music from the Skiffle Group, line dancing, Bollywood performances, food and an exhibition of memories from the Clubâs four decades of service. Members are also encouraged to share their cultural heritage and attend in national costume.
This edition looks back at Membersâ Appreciation Day, when the Beach Break coffee van served complimentary coffee and Anzac biscuits to 130 members. It also celebrates the Clubâs outstanding $9,297 fundraising result for the Cancer Council through Australiaâs Biggest Morning Tea.
Other highlights include the Thursday Line Dancing Groupâs fundraising activities, Motherâs Day treats, Zumba with Indah, Bowling news and the Knatty Knittersâ handmade donations to hospitals and charitable organisations.
