The March, April and May 2026 edition of The Herald welcomes members into a busy and exciting year at Herald Avenue Senior Citizens’ Club.

The newsletter reflects on the Club’s successful Christmas Breakfast and shares how the Centre was transformed with colourful lanterns and decorations for Lunar New Year. It also introduces upcoming events, including Easter Delights, Members’ Appreciation Day, Mother’s Day activities, Australia’s Biggest Cuppa and the Club’s 40th anniversary celebration.

A major highlight is the Lunar New Year celebration held on 26 February 2026, which brought together 180 members for a day of culture, food and entertainment. The program featured guitar music, Tai Chi, sequence dancing and Chinese cultural performances, followed by lunch, line dancing and Mahjong.

This edition also reports on the Club’s defibrillator training session, which helped receptionists, committee members and activity organisers build confidence in responding to an emergency. Members can also enjoy reflections on art, an Indoor Bowls update, travel stories and news from the Snooker Group.
